Old Town

The Beach Vacation...continued...

After touring the Mormon Battalion Visitor's Center, we decided to walk around Old Town San Diego for a bit and check things out. It's been years since I walked through Old Town and I'd forgotten so much.

I know, the little ones looked thrilled in this picture, huh? But they really did have good day. Probably just didn't want to be stopping for a photo op. They had visions of better things...like ice cream.

(Mike & Shari)

We ate lunch at a great little Mexican food place called the Alamo. It's a walk up to order kind of place. The weather was just perfect, so we sat outside on the patio. As we walked down the main drag, we couldn't help but notice (and smell) a Mexican food restaurant on every corner. That's my kind of place! I could pretty much eat Mexican food every day and be happy as a clam. Ryan was serious when he said he wanted to come back the next night for dinner. Who cares that we had to drive 30 minutes to get there. Then I reminded him that we could just get Juanitas by the beach and that seemed to satisfy him. Aaaahhh, Juanitas. We'll see you again in 3 months when we're back for Fall Break. Until then, I'll just have to add this picture to the sidebar of my blog.

We toured the covered wagon museum. Easton thought this was pretty cool 'cause the wheels were so huge and yellow.

Barrett & Grandpa Steve

We did some window shopping as we walked up and down the street. Someone smelled the "leather" as we walked by the leather shop, so we decided to check it out. Rowan wanted to model everything in the store. Yep, she's our little Barbie.

Randi & Barrett posing for a quick shot outside one of the shops.

And next...pics from the beach.
